# Manage your profile and preferences

> Update your display name, avatar, email, password, and notification settings to personalize your Mintlify Starter Kit experience.

Your profile controls how you appear to teammates and how Mintlify Starter Kit reaches you. Keep your contact details current and choose which activities trigger notifications so you stay informed without noise.

## Update your profile info

    Click your avatar in the top-right corner and select **Profile Settings**.

  <Step title="Edit display name and avatar">
    Update your **Display Name** and upload a new **Avatar** image. Changes save automatically and reflect across all workspaces.

  <Step title="Update email address">
    Enter a new **Email Address** and confirm with the verification code sent to your inbox.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Change password">
    In the **Security** section, enter your current password, then your new password twice. Click **Update Password**.

## Notification settings

Choose which events send you email, in-app, or push alerts.

Toggle each channel per event and click **Save Preferences**.

<Tip>
  Disable the weekly digest if you already check the app daily. You can re-enable it anytime from this same page.

<Warning>
  Changing your email address signs you out of all active sessions on other devices. You will need to log in again with the new address.
